    Default Watch your step!

I got to the launch ramp about 7;45 this morning, it was 46 degrees, foggy as heck...on the south side of the ramp, large rock was put in to hold the soil I assume,,dancing nimbly across them with the rope attached to my boat, I almost planted my foot on a water moccasin of maybe 3.5 to 4.0 feet in length, was he poison, as deadly as a black mamba...well, he lost his head in the affair..and maybe I wasn't terribly nimble on them rocks, but I get get a new lift in my step when we made eye contact...watch your feet guys.

Understand that the boat was pulling me towards the snake, and I was trying to run backwards but hang on to the boat, a cameras was not of great importance at the moment..I took a stick and tossed him up in the unloading zone as a warning to other idiots who prance on rocks....lol

If you are fighting snakes that are real and not planted fake ones by your fishing buddies, then it's been warm enuff for the crappie to be looking into the shallow waters for good bedding ground when the water temp is right. Always look forward to when I get to see snakes when I am fishing. Snakes are not all bad, 95% of all snakes experienced while out fishing are generally just water snakes, a lot of people call every snake swimming in or just around water a moccasin, but they are generally just water snakes, not saying that the snake you saw was not a moccasin, just saying most people mis identify snakes.
