Default Rod Transport Racks - Opinions??

I am looking at putting a rod transport rack in my boat so that I don't have a tangled stack of rods when I arrive at my fishing destination. I usually carry 10-12 rods but there are occasions when I would like to be able to transport up to 16 rods. I have looked at three different brands/types and all three have good advantages as well as disadvantages. The ones I am looking at are made by: EZ Poleholder, Hi Tek, and Cumberland Crappie. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think you could go wrong with any of those. I have a set made by EZ and really like them. Once you chose a set and get them installed u will wonder why in the world u didn't have them sooner.

This is a repost from January.

Finally had a chance to mount my custom rod holder from Terry at Cumberland Crappie today. Thing fits great! This was a new design for Terry as he made it adjustable up and down. He does some great stuff. If you haven't seen his stuff, check out his site and give him a shout. He's a great guy and will make anything for ya! Now if I can get my 4 - 4 Rod Holders installed...... The only problem I do have is the boat should be in the water, not in my yard!

The built in cooler and existing rod storage still open fully!

Adjustable Height. They will go up another 2 inches or so.

Best part is, unscrew the easy knobs from the baseplates and carry your rods in the garage! The thing is extremely durable, but lightweight enough to carry 16 rods loaded. Also great when I go Bass, Hybrid Striper, and Striper fishing, I still have all my room. Just leave the crappie rods at the house and those baseplates are the same that the rod holders use. Great when trolling Striper.

Yea, I bought the net/umbrella holder too. Just finished it LOL. The wife will be happy for sure. Now if I can get Terry to make me some kind of lock box and drink holder for the base when I don't need the umbrella holder, it will be on! I love the way all his base plates fit everything he makes. Now time to mount the rod holders.

    Whatcha think?

    Jimbo'
