Thanks for the advice. I actually wasn't thinking of that. I'll take'er easy for the first few hours for sure. The last thing I want to do is have to tear into this thing again. And I'll have to pass of the job offer, lol. It really wasn't that bad working on it. Just nervous about getting it back together. I have to say though, after firing it off the first time I was definitely excited that I actually got it working again and even more excited when it actually went in and out of gear smoothly.

I followed your redo online last year. Glad you got the motor worked out. Rig still looks great.

There's a break in on engines?!??!? Man I am screwed, I took my yammy 115 balls to the wall from the get. :( I'm screwed.

UPDATE: I finally got my boat on the water today. Over the past week I've installed two new depth finders, an onboard battery charger, two new batteries, and a more powerful trolling motor. I evened washed it and vaccumed all the leaves out of it. Today was the first time I've had it out since I rebuilt the lower unit. At first I was having a hard time keeping the motor running. After a few tweaks on the carb, she's running great. I took it easy for the first little bit but then opened her up for a minute. The wind was a little tough so I couldn't keep it full throttle for long but it took off when I did. I can't tell ya'll how happy I am to finally have this boat done and just in time too. This weekend I'll be camping with the family at Sunlight Bay on lake Nimrod. Now that things are in order, it's time to break her in right and get some crappie smell in the carpet. :)
