Default How many has or will upgrade sonar units?

I just mounted my Humminbird 570 DI on the boat yesterday. I think it is a major improvement over the little Cudas I been using. I bought on the low end as I already have a couple handhelp GPS units.

I think you bought a great Unit CA, I love Hummingbird Units. For me I use the colored sonar screen, its just easier on my eyes.

I'm like a kid, I want,,I want, I want...I'd like one of the big screen jobbies to mount next to console, it looks so professional, but then in reality, I ain't smart enough to take advantage of what I already have, a HB 597 HD di..

I am totally impressed with the down imaging, it amazes me how great the images are and if I coyuld do what the unit is capable of, I "might'' catch more fish..but I couldn't possibly have more fun than I did as a kid with a cane pole, a stopper out of a medicine bottle for a cork, a hair hook and a bed of bream...

I upgraded to a Low Mark 5 pro, for the front and console, just don't have the console one mounted yet. Looked at/considered the DI more than the SI but decided to stay with just 2d as I usually fish the same areas on a regular basis, use a HH gps and have all my structure marked with it. Would like to have the DI/SI units but not willing to spend the $$ for 'em.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Started with the cuda, but went to a humminbird 718 and connected my hand held gps to it. Carol just bought a 798 for me at Christmas and I have run it on the water twice to check for operation and interference but have not fished with it. Still got the 718 where it really matters, on the bow.

Bought a Humminbird 998 c si last year. Unbelievable what you can see with this thing. Doesn't mean you can always catch 'em but it is fun to use.

I'm using the Hummer low end, can't spend the $ for the bigger ones although I really like them. I also think they will come down in price just as the flat screen tv's have, labtops, digital cams, ect. I've got two guys whom I fish with and they have the DI/SI models that are really nice. I've just settled for the Nav package on my I phone to navigate by recently but finding that all important brush underneath the surface would be nice.
