Over the limit!

It's 250 bucks for each fish over the limit, and I heard he's been watching everyone over there fishing porter creek and that he watched a guy leave with a limit this morning, and then come back and caught him with another bucket full! I bet he learned his lesson. aside from that, my father in law caught his limit out in the river and called me, so me and wife went and joined him and we ended up with 60. didnt take very long to get there either!!!

For the ones that only get to fish a few days a year should have a special lic. For a few days to catch several
limits and not allowed to buy yearly lic.

You're making a very big assumption there, my friend. Doesn't matter, though. Over the limit, is OVER THE LIMIT. If you can't pay the fine, don't do the crime.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong. If you have 20 crappie in the livewell and you are still fishing, can't they give you a ticket?

Don't know but that would seem to be a gray area. I think I would stick to 19 and have room for one more. There are a lot of gray areas in the book. We only get a tiny regulations pamphlet but if you go online you can take a look at the one the GW's go by. Its huge.

rtark, the wardens here in my county say that if you have a limit in the live well, you can continue to fish as long as you release them. But if you have a limit in the livewell and you bring another one in the boat and want to cull, then technically, you are over the limit.

If you follow regs , your fish count towards your daily limit even if you give them away.

This is one topic I don't need to worry about. I never get close enough to a limit to worry about getting in trouble!!!!!!!

I've heard once you put #20 on stringer or livewell your through for the day by law. Better stop at 19 to cull or stop fishing. I always recount my fish when just a few short esprcially when fishing with another person. One slip up could be expensive and embaressing to say the least.

Hey tripple D - I am with you. Were I have been the last 3 weeks the limit is 50. 2 people in the boat makes 100. Thats a lot of fish and we have not hit that limit since last fall.
