Default Got spanked on lake washington today.

Conditions on lake washington today were about as bad as it gets. Temperature in the twenty's and 25 to 30 mile per hour northern gusts. The waves were brutal. We tried for 2 hours to fish where we knew the fish were at but it was just too rough. Finally got back to the north end of the lake where most of the other boats were and manage to catch a couple. I'll try to post a picture later.

They were fishing the magnolia crappie tourney. Glad you two made it off the lake safely and nothing broken on the boat. Too tough for me to fish today.

Yea, the Magnolia Crappie Club held their Washington trournament today. David and I both feel like we have been beat to a pulp. We did manage to squeak by with 10th place out of 36 teams and made back our entry fee. We pulled cranks for a couple of hours then longlined but the Crappie just weren't chasing anything fast and we finally started getting some hits while slow trolling shallow flats. If we had started out doing that in the first place we might have done pretty good but we hadn't been on Washington since before the flood and really weren't tuned up on the lake. There were a couple of 3+ lbers caught today. When that lake really gets turned on and the weather is more stable it's going to be some fantastic fishing.

Got a little taste of that myself today in a much smaller boat. Rough stuff. Couldn't see the bite at all.
