    Default Lake Ouachita Crappie Guide

I will be staying in cabins with my entire family on lake Ouachita over easter weekend. We would like to charter a guide to take 5-6 of us crappie fishing. I am the only one that lives here in arkansas, the rest of the family is coming up from texas. While I can hold my own in the lakes and oxbows in south arkansas and even on Lake Greeson, I have never fished Ouachita. I would like to find the best crappie guide in the opinion of this board for Lake Ouchita. I have checked out quite a few guide websites, but they are all striper, or bass fishing guides by trade. They are not full time crappie guides. Does Jerry or Daryll guide Ouachita? Thanks in advance for everyones opinion.

Try asking for a guide recomendation at the place that you renting the cabins from. I do not think Darryl or Jerry guide on Ouachita and most guides except striper guides are not able to handle that many people.I know that Mark Morris 501-538-7773 and Hugh Albright 501-767-0676 guide for crappie on Ouachita but I don't think they can handle that many people at one time. Maybe they could put something together for you. Tell them Charlie at COUNTRY INN LAKE RESORT told you to call.

Bill Barnes at Mountain Harbor Resort might be able to tell you of a crappie guide or two on Ouachita.
