The girls and I put in at burns park. Spider rigging with shiners. One Alabama rig with jigs. Bit even a bite. But we had fun.

I got skunked today too on Mallard Lake near Manila. It was windy and real hard to fish today guess i'll try agian in the morning. Glad to see someone else getting skunked but still having fun!
Crappie are snobby..... Why can't they be easy to catch...Like bass?

Guys I've seen it too many times before, if your around crappie and know much as all about catching them....you'll catch em. Gotta find them 1st, I feel for you though, i've been the king of skunk here lately myself. Keep in mind AR has lots of water though to fish, i'm X-ing off lakes 1 by 1 they can't hide forever!

I'm the king of getting skunked! Hence the name. Have a question, any knowledge on why spiderrigging hasn't caught on up here in Illinois? I'm interested in getting into it.

It isn't quite legal in some states...don't know about Illinois. Even around here there are starting to be restrictions on number of poles and hooks at some of the COE lakes..... Check your regulations. If it is legal it would work just fine up there.

Keep trying. It aint about you its that little girl. I can remember fishing with my father at that age and not catching a thing. We bass fished back then and he took it so serious. I was just glad to be with him.

Better luck next time LD . Went yesterday , my private pond , caught 10 crappie and 2 bream that were huge . Slow casting , 4FOW black and chart.
