Anytime you get to spend with a grandparent or parent is time well spent.

I agree that time spent with family, especially grandparents, is well spent, because, truth is, they won't always be there so build as many memories as you can. I will caution you that the things you learn in math will serve you well in life. You will be surprised at the things you wil use that you did not think you ever would. If you are like the rest of us old timers when you get older and run into something you can't quite remember you'll think "I wish I had payed more attention in class."
Now go fish with Grandpaw and relish every minute.

Sounds like a great day to me. You try any of the jigs you've tied?
