Default Can't buy a limit of crappie in Beaver Lake

Is anyone catching any good crappie from Beaver????? It seems every time I go I catch one nice 14" to 15" crappie and a bunch of 8" to 9"ers. I've fished from HWY 12 to Bev-o-rama with the same results. Last year I caught plenty of limits of good crappie. Just banging my head on the wall. I'm going to Horseshoe bend today to see what I find.

Maybe it's the curse of the deep clear lakes, pretty to look at but ain't worth a crap for fishing in the Winter. I've been bass fishing the past 2 days and no luck there either???? We've even charted brush and sat over the top of it in Degray, but sadly no bass or crappie???

Boy, I hate to hear that report.
I was hoping to get titles and licenses transferred back to AR and get on the water this coming week.

Well I"ve been fishing quite a bit here lately and I wouldn't lie to ya. I've found structure down deep in the deep clear lakes but very little fish on it. I'm beginning to hate living near them! I've yet to see the spring but it's got to improve. If you do get your license changed over I'd hit those smaller oxbow type lakes and save time and gas on the big water. I can't speak for every lake but Hamelton, no fish at all, degray, could count on one hand the # of crappie i've caught on that thing in multiple trips at that. Just telling ya man I think people should know the truth about some of these lakes and what to expect on these uneventful adventures.

Man, last year on Beaver I caught many limits of crappie. Almost every time I went out from October till the spring fling. This year I have hardly caught a limit all trips combined this winter.
