I'll be headed up the little maumelle tomorrow. Never been there. Anybody know what works? Minnows? Jigging stumps/brush?

We used to fish across the river and a few 100 yds up river from the old Wrightsville boat ramp. You had to really watch out for the underwater wing dam running a couple hundred yards downriver from the rock dike thats visible. Once you got behind it it was like a lake with no current. 22 feet deep with the bottom covered in old willows that had washed off the banks for years and years. In Dec thru Feb. we would tight line Rosey Red minnows 12 feet deep in 17 to 19 feet of water. Caught limits of 1 lb to 2 lb crappie just about everytime we went over there. I just didn't like where I had to park and leave my truck across the river at the closed down Wrightsville park.
