Xring, I've read several articles lately that says this is their favorite time to fish and the bite is really good. Maybe you should get the crappie on your lake to read one of those articles so they know how to act. It's not thier fault, they just haven't been educated yet.

I agree, Xring! Great site! I'd like to think I'm a little better crappie fisherman since joining the site. I feel like I have learned a lot from the good crappie fishermen on here. And you're right, we get to enjoy fishing even when we can't go by getting on here and reading about others who are cathin'em! Thumbs Up

X2 Ski. I dont know if I am better. I know I am a little more broke driving to all these lakes that a talked about on this site. It is nice when you can get a report when going to new water 3-4 hours away and catch fish on your first trip. Thanks a lot guys.

When I joined this site in 06, all my fishing was single pole fishing some of the Black River oxbows with a jig and then some night fishing with minners @ Greers. Then I read on here about pulling cranks and that has cost me dearly. Now I have rods holders all over my boat a tackle box full of crankbaits, enough jigs to supply all of us for a year (I pour and paint my own) but as Billy said there is no where I have been that I did not put some fish in the boat.
