    Default Old River Lake

Has anyone ever fished Old River Lake just South of Scott? I think it's private but I may be able to fish it.

I go out there every now and then, but my buddy's ramp goes out of commission when his yard gets soft, or the lake comes up. It is is private. Got to know somebody to get access. 501mooney87 has a good handle on the lake.

I fished it years ago, before it went private, I caught a lot of crappie, but no great size...black/cha and red/blue/white...If'n I had a chance to fish it again, I would have to pull out my old 5000s, blow off the dust and clean out the cobwebs...used to be a spinner bait named "the spider", single cowboy belt buckle size blade, about six thick legs, kinda looked like an octopus, plus a pork chunk...was (may still be) a good green carp lake...but ref the crappie, in those days, no one I knew had ever heard of pulling bandits for crappie...ought to be plenty of room for that...
Save the planet, it is my favorite place to fish...

The owner of the company that I work for son bought a place there and want me to come down and fish with him. May have to give it a try soon.
