Guys, Lori and I both want to thank y'all for the prayers, AND the advice. Jigflinger stopped by the store today, and I certainly appreciate ALL of the concern shown by my friends here on C.C!!!!!
We are both doing fine, but man I need a cheeseburger and a smoke!!! ( Had a cigarette in my mouth when Jig walked in). Pray that we stay outta Gods way enough to let Him heal us, and keep us healthy!!!!
Y'all ain't lucky enough to git rid of me that easy. God is Great ALL the Time!!!! See ya on the water!!!!

Bill, you're a hoot! I told you that I wasn't going to squeal on you about that smoke. And you tell on yourself. It is a hard habit to kick, but you can do it. I was fortunate that I could go Cold Turkey. Very fortunate. Stay with it, my friend. God bless you both and Merry Christmas.santa

Wife's insurance picks up part of the bill for chantix beginning in Jan so after 40+ years of smoking I'm giving it a TRY! Got the prescription along with a $30 off giftcard from the doctor's office today (after paying a $35 co-pay to see the doctor:rolleyes:)....but anyway it's on come January. All I can say is the meds will have to be what stops me because even though I cherish the idea of quitting the pure simply fact about me smoking is I still enjoy it and guess I look forwards to smoking the next one everytime. I hope you can make it thru the ordeal cause it sounds like it's about time for you to call it quits too. Sorry that I just read this post but I'm glad the results came out well for both you guys. Prayers still being sent.Thumbs Up

Just got home from a three day out of town trip and read this post. Sent a prayer up for both of you. I think you are blessed that you happened to be where they could check you out before you had a stroke. I know it's hard to give up the cigarettes, but ultimately you'll be glad you did!
