Default Nice day on the water with some good guys

Rtark and Crappie Pro were in one boat and Xring and I fished out of his. The bite was a little off but it was still a good day to be on the water. Maybe they will post more pictures later.

Here is Xring trying out the Crappie Pro long arm photo method.:D

Rtark, Crappiepro, and Xring at the dock discussing the fishing trip. Hey Ray what was that green stuff in the bottle you was drinking? Looked alot like watered down grass that had been run through a cow!cheers Finally met cp in person, Russ I might have to do a Conway trip soon.

CA nice meeting you too yes we had a great time and another good mess of Dardanelle crappie hit the deck. Your welcome over here any time, I stepped my last foot step in a deer stand for this year and Conway is going to see allot of CP in the weeks to come.

    Default A few details

It was fun today but disappointing too. CP and I got on the fishing hole at 8:30 and the bite was a little slow but was optimistic about the next few hours. We got over some good suspended crappie and I was sitting up over them when I realized my trolling motor would not work.banghead So our only alternative was to either go home or motor up wind and let the breeze float us back down and drift fish so we did and we were doing ok. Before the rain came CP and I had 18 fairly good ones. CP had a new 9' spinning rig that I was itching to try out. He had it all rigged up and it was just laying on the floor so I picked it up and made a few casts. I saw some fish laying a couple feet from the bottom on the df and went down for them. I caught 3 decent crappie real quick and CP ended my trial period before I was ready. I think it was hurting him. When the rain started we all took off for the ramp. Xring had a limit and I think Nimrod had one or close to it. But I thought 18 was good for us since we were dead on the water. They were not really worthy of pictures today. I have a terrova I-pilot and everything worked but the motor. I got home and xring came by and we took some things apart and found a loose connection where the hot wire plugs into the brain. I tightened it up, filled up a tub with water, dropped the motor in the water and it is running fine again. Wish it hadn't happened while CP was here but stuff happens.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

I had a great day, fishing with NIMROD and chatting back and forth with rtark and CrappiePro when they were close enough. I think they did extremely well considering they were "dead in the water" almost the whole morning. Nimrod always brings snacks when he comes fishing,,and they are always great snacks,,homemade deer summer sausage, heck,,its even good after being dropped on the parking lot...or was until rtark mentioned that everyone coming in from a mornings fishing,,relieved themselves there...then it might have had a little whang to it...lol

I had fun guys,,hope ya'll enjoyed it as much as I did..

Turtlebait, Dardanelle has some fat Crappie. We don't catch near as many dinks (throw backs ) as I'm used to on Nimrod.
