    Default Tipping minnows

I have found that in the dead cold of winter, that tipping a jig with minnows often turns a finicky bite into a aggressive bite, has any of you guys tried this, if you have not tried this, keep it in the back of your mind if you find yourself face with a tough bite.

With that much tying to do, it will be kinda hard to go use the new product, who's is goin to do your QC work if you can't do it. Going and doing your own Quality Control is still important.

Hey Meat - I am looking forward to those. I plan on fishing Reelfoot this weekend and I tip my jig with minnows. I guess the only different is a longer hook. If so I might be interested in you tying some Walleye Jigs for me.

    Default Tipping Jigs

Get you some pre cooked bait shrimp from the frozen sea food section at the grocery store. Pinch a piece off about the size of your front tooth [ if you have any..hehe] hook it behind the jig.
Shrimp works, I don't know of any fish, fresh water or salt water that won't gobble it down.
It can make a big difference in the bite, if they are slow to bite, or just thinking about it, I know I use to be a crappie...lol.

There ain't nuttin wrong with shrimp, do you get pre cooked just so if the crappie ain't biting, you can eat the shrimp so they don't go to waste.

If it didn't say not for human consumption on the package, I would be snacking on them racsals, I love dem shrimp. Shoot they are probably the same as the ones they ask $9.00 bucks a pound for, and just don't want you to know and get one over on them.
I fish with em all the time, and they look, smell, and feel ok to me, but I know a guy that almost died from eating some bad shrimp, I don't want that.

I hate to hear that, ain't nobody should get Ill from eating food, but I was always told when I was growing up, what don't kill ya boy will only make you smarter and stronger. Well I guess it was kinda true, I got alot stronger, the smarter part is still up in the air.

Those trout love them shrimp. I have never used them for crappie. Got me thinking I might try this weekend in stead of a crappie nibble
