Default New to board living in Paragould

I have been following the board for a while. I recently retired and just bought a boat. It is a 17 ft. deep V with a 90 Johnson. I have been doing a lot of trout fishing at Hardy, and caught some good ones this spring, but want to get into crappie, panfish, and bass. I live close enough to Horseshoe Big Lake, and Malard for day trips and hope to fish them this fall. I would also like to try Greers Ferry and Wappapello. I would like to hook up with someone local to fish with, so if you live in the area, please get in touch.

Welcome to the board from Conway, Chuck. Conway's probably too far from Paragould for a daytrip. Good luck to you!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Welcome to the board neighbor. Don't count out the rivers, such as black and St. Francis, but I"m gonna warn ya, if ya wanna catch lots of big ones, you gotta be ready to travel. Paragould doesn't have "quality" crappie like some of the lakes closer to the Mississippi. Although, come January, Ashbaugh should yield some biggens. Always does.

Welcome! I went to college at ASU and the sunken lands were where I'm roamed when cutting class lol. Awesome fishery in the fall when the river was down!

They have a crappie club in Paragould. Contact Moud Gazaway, or Jerry Cross. I sold em both a new boat, and they are super nice folks. Moud owns the lumber yard and Jerry does siding. They are listed.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

if you have a deep V then you have the right boat for Norfork Lake. A good place to catch stripers and bass.
