Hey SLB, I'm a newbie here as well. I sent some PM's and didn't receive replies. I just went to some of the forum threads and replied and asked my questions and got answers. I'm just starting out as well on the Crappie hunt. I found that using the search on the forum I'm finding all kinds of great information. Once I have a good catch I plan to post about it. Suggestion, start a thread about your favorite winter technique and rig setup. I for one would welcome some input on that.
Just thought i would throw in my two cents worth. I am not exactly a regular poster on here, but i do post every now and then. I guess i do more reading and try to learn a little before i speak up. But when i do post with a question, or send a pm, i have always gotten a response, and these guys are usually very helpful in answering my questions. Maybe someday i will be good enough at this Crappie fishing to return all the help, but until then i'll just keeping hanging out here with these fine folks. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys and catching some fish.
This thread made me log in for the first time in a couple of months just to make sure I am not missing any PMs. I haven't had much to say so I am content to read about CrappiePro's silver glory stories until I can get back after them. I remember some jack_ _ _ criticizing Russ when he first started posting. What a shame it would have been if he would have just quit. Even Nimrod catches some greif every once in a while. You will not find anyone that contributes more to this sight or to the sport. So, with all due respect, I think you are a little out of line here.
When we ask questions on the forum, all of us benefit from the answers. I haven't met many of the new comers in the last few months. But, from the posts I read, some great feindships have been formed. Don't worry about getting into the "click". Post some success stories; ask some questions; make some type of contribution and you will make freinds here.

Where's my welcomes how do I get stickers lol
SLB, I can assure you that Slab hasn't slighted you at all. When you know how busy this man is, it's easy to see how some thing slip through the cracks. Just send him a PM about your concerns and I'll bet you get an answer real quick. Try it. You'll like it.
Shoot I have a post for info. on the Ga. board right now that has been viewed 56 times without a reply. You know some of the 56 of those that viewed my post know something.
I think the guys think someone else will answere the question and move on maybe.
I've done it myself before, but a new member doesn't realize this and he thinks the other members are rude.
I think we should make a effort to try to answere a new member's questions, even if you don't know, let them feel welcome.
I noticed that a couple here that are posting NOW with a little scolding of the man. Maybe if they would have replyed before to the man this would not have happened in the first place.
I think the man needs a apology.... not scolding. He went to the trouble to send pm's for answeres because no one would answere his post. He shouldn't have to jump thru someone's hoops or make so many post to be excepted and to get a answere.
That's my 2 cents..
