    Default Trolling motor

Hey guys! Been a way for a lil bit but now my Kansas bow hunt is finished it's time to get in the winter time crappie fishing mode!!!! Question for you guys is about trolling motors for my alweld v-hull. The boat was bought mostly for deer hunting on the white river with no thought of fishing out of it. Silly as that sounds the last couple of years I find my self once December gets here hitting lake Conway and some oxbows off of the white river more than I do climbing 20 ft in a tree. I do not have a trolling motor mount on the boat so I Jerry rig with a 2x4 a screw on motor. It time for me to get a foot control on the boat but me looking at it I don't know the best way to do it with the way the boat is built with out cutting out in the V to weld something that would hold the bracket for trolling motor. Any suggestions on how to do it or suggestions on who to take it to? Thanks for the help in advance!!!

Went to alweld web sight, think goodness I didn't haveta join to see a picture.
If your talking about the vee bottom it looks as though you can lay a 2x6 on the seat.
Doing it that way no cutting just drilling, depending on which side you install the bracket the TM will deploy on the other side of the V.The bracket doesn't have to be pointing straight for the TM to run straight,it can be ajusted.

Better yet post a picture as to tell more...

have seen some temp mounting brackets to mount a screw on TM at cabelas and BPS, see if those might work for you.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Hey Gobble - Creek has one of those yankee boats. We both run Terrova and the bracket is not that big. I put a quick connect plate on it and will come off very easy for hunting. Maybe Creek can take a pic and post it for you.
