My main knot is the loop knot but I also tie polamar knots when I want a knot tight to the hook.
Loop Knot for jig fishing, Palomar and improved clinch for just about everything else.

I never did know the name of the knot but the Duncon is what I have used for yrs. It won't cut itself, ties really tight and is fast to tie. Nothing beats a palomar for strength but is a bugger for me to get 2 lines in the tiny eyes of little jigs.
It ain't nuttin but luck.
The uni-knot.
The overhand is the one I use most, but if I am fishing around tight structure I go with a Bowline knot, or a round 2 half hitch knot. Its a bit over done but it will not slip or break. But in fast paced fishing like in the spring with crappie on beds and white bass the overhand does just fine for me.
