Just got home from the MO bootheel visiting my in-laws for early Thanksgiving w/end. P n law was down with neck/back pain so I loaded his rig up Sat morn and headed northwest up to Wappapello Lake by myself. It was in the low 40s with the wind blowing bout 77 mph. Sun never shined, but me and Spanky didn't care. Went to the upper end of the lake and fished areas where the old St. Francis river channel swung up close to cover on the bank. TONS of small fish and finally got into some nicer ones. Caught em all on either Spanky or a white/pinkish Meatgetter jig. From 10" to 3' deep. Better fish were shallower. No barn doors but several in the 12" range. It was a battle in that cold wind, but a nice livewell full of those Show-Me crappie gave it up.

Shame on you for not posting photos with all us having withdrawls due to Buck fever.Rofl Sounds like you worked for them in these winds.

It really wasn't a monumental mess, I was by myself, and my phone don't take good pictures unless it's sunny.
Nice Job Drew, still hammering em over here
