I had a slow morning at my old honey hole but gathered up 13 keepers. Then thought I would try some deep brush tops to see if some bigger fish might be hanging out there. They were there. I got to my 19th speck and started catching and culling. I had my limit several times over but keep holding at 19. Then when I decided to keep the next fish, and go home, I couldn't catch nothing but bass and catfish. I caught the first 13 with my hand tied char and pink Grimm Reaper. But on the deeper brush piles I used a char and silver minnow mind'r with a 1/16 oz jig head jigging down at 20 - 23 feet. I never felt those hogs bite but instead when the jig was falling I would see the line swimming off. It was a ton of fun.
