Default Reelfoot Lake Guided Trip 10/30/11

First and foremost, some things I have learned from this site is when going to a body of water that I have never been before, hire a guide- someone with the knowledge and tactics for the body of water you want to fish. So I did, I went with Ronnie Capps. Man, let me tell you he is a true professional, top notch fisherman and overall good guy. Let me say this, were were spider riggin with 8 -12 poles through stumps in 15mph winds- minimal hangups and even fewer breaks in line-enough said bout his knowledge/capabilities. He put us on fish immediatly and fished all day long and ended up with a 72 total number of fish caught (average between 1w-13inch fish with a bunch pushin 14) but about 10-12 more either throwback or lost at boat.He was eager to teach about tips/tactics as well as teaching me about side imaging. I had one of the best times crappie fishing ever, as well as my friend-who had never been on a guided trip. If you wanna take a reelfoot trip call ronnie- you won't regret it!Tom

Tommy - You went with one of the best. Just look at this record and winnings. Glad you had a great trip. It can be tough on Reelfoot when the wind gets up. Get him to take you duck hunting there next if you didnt blow your budget.

Billy, he definatly sold me on side imaging, not necessarily for that body of water but overall, it sure can change the way you fish

Great catch Tommy!!! I have a question, I just went to the link and I was wondering if that rate was per person or for the two? My girlfriend would absolutly love to go fishing up there and rent a cabin or something this spring, plus i owe it to here for putting up with me .
