Cold Front Crappie/Deep in the Grass/Caney Creek/10-18-11

After the Rain and Cold Front I was having trouble getting any kind of bite in the pads on Caney Creek today so I started thinking if I was crappie where would I bury up to stay warm? I looked down the creek and said those alligator grass mats sure look warm and that is where i went to battle and caught almost all my limit today. I would finess my # 811 Midsouth or white and Chart tube down through the grass and THUMP. Time and Time agian. Allot of my hits would come when I raised the bait up just a foot under the mat. Reminded me of grass ice fishing. Caught a couple of real nice blacks today and there was hardly no one on the water. TAV2 it was nice seeing you out there today how did you do? I'll bet you got a limit also. It was chilly out there today and for the first time I felt the sting of fall on my face and thought winter slabs are just around the corner. Hope you enjoy the Pics.
