Default A little slow on Dardanelle

What bite there is happens within the first couple hours after sunrise. I was on the water at first light and wasn't getting any bites. I found one of my old hand ties with an ole Dardanelle favorite color and tied it on. I caught several dinks but wound up with 8 good keepers. After I got home and cleaned the fish I sat down at my tying station and brushed up on my jig tying and made a few more of the same jig. That PM I called an old buddy who has been having health problems and took him back with me. It was His first crappie fishing in a long time. Right at dark they started biting and he wound up with ten keepers using the same jig. Another great day on the water at Dardanelle. I didnt even break a rod this time.

A good color in low light conditions:

    Default Update

My buddy that went with me yesterday just called and he is on his way to Memphis to pick up a super nice Triton boat with a ninty hp that he is buying off craigslist. He was up all night searching for one. I believe that fishing trip yesterday breathed new life back in him. Now tell me if crappie fishing is not the best medicine for depression. He was like a kid in a candy store this morning. He used to be a fishing machine years ago and I'm pretty sure he will be an active CDC member soon with lots of pictures.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.
