Just wonder about Taylor's bay at Augusta. The river is dropping and didn't know if anyone had tried it. Was really good last year.

Went there about a week ago. Didn't do any good. Hope it's going to pick up this fall. The river was dropping out fast, might have stabelized by now.
It stayed at 24 all year (augusta) and the bottom dropped out of it 17 . If your going to troll there use jigs. If you put a minnow on your asking for a gar fight.
The Corps has dropped the river level at Newport from 12 - 13 ft. down to 6 - 7 ft, so I assume it's gone down at Augusta as well. Basically they've been holding the river really high all summer, just below the level where it would start flooding low ground. Now that they've dropped it maybe Taylor Bay and other areas on the river will get better.
The Corps has been trying to get the water out of the lake up stream is why the river has been high all summer. The are all down below normal pool so the river should stay down now.

Thanks, I've got a cousin coming in this weekend from Memphis and I've got to take them fishing. I had thought about
taylors of Hurricane Lake Bottoms. not getting many reports about northeast Arkansas lately.
Of course it's gonna fall now. Duck season ain't long from now.
