Gentlemen,
We are going to Arkansas for the first time next week, the week of Labor Day. I will be bringing the boat, and figure the boat traffic will be down after Labor Day. We are staying at the Five Points cabins on Lake Hamilton. Some questions:
- Is the county where Hot Springs is at "dry"? I heard that some counties up there don't allow selling of beer (that would never work down here).
- Where can I buy bait?
- Any tips/suggestions on the fishing would be greatly be appreciated. Crappie, white bass, etc.
Thanks for your help.

Trader Bills is the best place to buy live bait in Hot Springs. Garland county is also wet as mentioned above. Spend time graphing points and pockets looking for brush piles. That's where you will find the crappie. I would target piles in 12-25 fow.
