most all oxbows get real good if a river has been in them ,when the river starts to fall out of them real slow the bite is on. some of our oxbows down here in so.east ar. we get lucky that some of them get hot twice. we fish the willows first and when the water gets to shallow we move to open water and spidder rig and we just move to the one that are hot!!!!!!!!!!!
Meatgetter, you said "we just move to the one that is hot". You didn't mention those really rough times down here when we get into the situation of several oxbows being HOT at the same time! All within 90 minutes driving! Then we are in the very serious predicament of having to decide where to go......:confused: I got friends who flip a pocketknife or coin in the air to see which side it lands on to make the decision for them!! Thumbs Up YEP!! For sure, living in SE Arkansas can get confusing at times. I been worrying all week about where to go next Saturday......HHhhmmmmmmm Hands Clapping
How was the bite today?? I was worried that weather might shut 'em down for a bit?
it was slow but we did managed a nice mess we had to load up about 11am. on the situation of several oxbows in our area being hot at one time i did not want to rub it in some people gets jealous. but that is one problem that good to have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
