Finally met Meatgetter

The last time I talked to Meatgetter he said "go south". He didnt mean LA I am sure. Me and some friends from Tulsa OK. NE AR and SC AR stayed in Lake Village AR this past weekend. I met Meatgetter over in MS and we fished the day. He will tell you it is tough fishing when the river is not right. It changes every day so you just have to be there and when they do bite its easy to blame the Mighty Mississippi when they dont. the Best thing Sat. was that I met Jerry. Fished LA on Sun. with the same result. Got to sit and watch some guys with minnows put about 50 in there boat in 2 hours in 1 spot. Made me sick. Went through the White River Refuge on the way home and looked at some of the lakes in it. I will be back there. Had a great trip and Jerry thanks for the jigs.

good to meet you and your fishing buddy ( crappie king 101 ) also hate you came that far and the fish got lockjaw but thats how it is on the mississippi river like you said thats why its called fishing rather than catching, and it did not get much better the whole weekend but did managed a few (see a few from lake lee) i spoke with several people over the weekend that fished several oxbows up and down the river and they all were slow,but soon as the mighty mississippi gets back to a steady slow fall the bite will return and so will i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
