Catfishing trip on nimrod with pics

Well as many of you know I won Nimrod's contest. Well he stopped by the night before we were supposed to fish and said that he would rather crappie fish but he would take us and get us set up on the catfish. We met at the boat ramp at 5:45 and took off. Got to the hole and got set up. He did his thing and said he would be back later to check on us. The action was hot right from the get go. Had a few break off so I switched poles and started putting them in the boat. My better half put the first 3 fish in the boat before I ever caught one. We fished that spot until about 9 when the action had slowed way down. We then picked up and moved and tried our luck on the crappie. Well nimrod came by and said that he was going to go try his other catfish hole so we loaded up and went with him. Got set up and caught several more with 2 good keepers. I want to thank nimrod for sharing his catfishing with us and we sure did have a wonderful time.

Some things never change. I learned to spider fish on that lake with my x-father-in-law. I see the Little Rock AFB is still using that as a flight path.

Ski trip the crappie bite was slow. We tried for about a hour and only caught 3 little dinks. Kcbrown yes i saw those c130s off in the distance on the north side of the lake and watched them bank around and come over the lake from the west and drop down and fly over. I tried to get some good pictures of them but on an iphone they just didn't turn out real good.
