    Default A few ideas

    The best guides are usually booked this close to date. Some may have cancellations, so it doesn't hurt to try and they can usually hook you up with a second tier guy. I am no expert on entire coast, but have fished with numerous guides in several places. Venice is by far my favorite location. The quality and consistency are better there. All of the guides I am going to name have lodging and I have used personally. You can do a search and get their numbers. All catch fish but here is my impression of matching guides to expectations. Dan Dix and Jeff Fuscia, and D.B. Bardwell are great low key likeable guys that usually fish with bait. Brandon Carter is more hardcore and is mixed bait and artificial. Ron Price is strictly artificial and live up to his name "The Fish Intimidator'. Do some reading on these sites and search there also.

    Near Houma I would call Bill Lake or Marty Lacoste.
    Ponchatrain area call Eric Dumas.{he may not have lodging}
    Bay St. Louis/ Slidell I would call Pappy Kearny, I have not used him but have talked to him and he is very reasonably priced and catches lots of fish.
    I have had a couple of bad experiences, so if you find someone not listed and want my opinion just contact me. I have my own boat for down there now, but our group still uses three or four guides a year.
    The fishing will spoil you if you go with the right guy. Good Luck

    I've used Bill Lake from Houma, Robichaux(sp) from Lafitte, the Nash's from Port Sulfur with good results.
