the catchin wasnt the problem it was the size we struggled with, still managed with around 40 fish by 10:30. dad and i took my nephew to a hot spot off from pendleton for some fast catchin! he had a ball and thats all that matters.

Hunter had a blast today! For a 3-yr-old he did great bringing in those fish. Lots of good fast action like that is what a kid that age needs to keep his attention. Thay don't care too much about size cause they are all pretty big to someone that age. He acted like they were slabs! That pothole has a gravel/dirt ramp so we had to take my old aluminum boat and it proved it can still take a lickin' and keep on tickin'! ! ! That old ProCraft has seen many a crappie pulled in over the years. I had that boat when David (Blue Thunder) was in Jr High School and thought Crappie fishing was "old man fishing" and Bass Fishing was the only way to have fun on the water. But look at him now....he's just as bad as the rest of us! LOL! Rofl

Congrats to both of you for taking the young man fishing, and for letting him catch a bunch! Hands Clapping I agree with whoever said that size of the fish doesn't matter at that age. Took my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter from D.C. to a local private reservoir not long ago and watched her catch her first fish, a bream, and it didn't matter one bit what size it was! Good job, guys. Thumbs Up Won't be long and he'll be whuppin' y'all!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

When it comes to kids and as long as the rod is bending they don't care what kind or species fish it is. I agree. Keep trying blue thunder you may fool me one of these days lol.
