well got out this morning with my daughter Autumn. We are quite a pair when it comes to fishing. She loves to go. We found ourselves up and early at 430 to go try a lake I hadn't fished in a while. We got there at day break and headed to our favorite spot. When we got there and tried to put out the poles the crappie were taking the jigs as fast as we could get the poles in the water. Didn't even have the trolling motor on and had fish in the boat. Managed to fend off the crappie long enough to get all our poles in the water and we started to troll. The fish were biting pretty consistent and were very shallow. We caught them in 3 foot of water fishing about 2 foot deep. As the morning brightened up we moved to slightly deeper water 7 foot or so and continued to catch em. We ended up with close to our 2 limits of white crappie. We caught them on whatever jig we could keep in the water. the color didn't seem to matter much as long as it had chartreuse in it LOL. Time to get a nap before work calls.
