Default Lake Conway/7-19-11/Couple of Black Monsters/Limit for My 1000th Post

Well guys I fiqured em out today, they were on the edges of the Gold Lake on stumps and Live Cypress. Used a Purple metal Flake Body/Chart tube with Orange head 1/24th oz Just like in the Pic. Fished about 6-7 feet deep on the Gold Lake drop offs, Caught two Nice Blacks which thumped the Jig soo hard bout knocked the pole out on my hand. They were fat as footballs LOL. It was a fun day and was done by Noon. Ive been catching Nice fish about every trip just finally got some numbers today. Not to bad for my 1000th post.

Looks like your back to catch'n . Sure is hot on the water, you deserve em if you stand the heat. I caught some on Purple metal flake/ Chartruse tubes yesterday too, just bigger jigs. Question : have you noticed black crappie sometimes favoring smaller jigs? We have fewer Blacks in Nimrod so I can't be sure. The Whites always love big baits here though.

Oh Yea, forgot ! Congrats on 1000th post.
