Can never start em too young. There are worse things to teach a kid for sure. My oldest son crawled around in my boat long before he could hold a fishing pole.

My son is almost 2, and he learned how to hang on to a fishing pole at about 1. Now when momma and I get to go to Old River together, he gets to hold a jig over the side of the boat (until he throws the pole over). Even with hook removed, he still gets bites, might let him have one with a hook this fall and see how his face lights up with a fish on the end.Quote:

Wanted to go tue but didn't work out. Drove to Houston today... Have be at NASA at 2:30 am (in two Hrs)for the landing. Will leave by 9 to head back to little rock getting back by 6:00pm. Go to bed after up two days and plan for a trip Friday morning back to nimrod. Man! I'm getting to old for this.
I hope you post some pictures of the landing! Not many people get the opportunity you have been given.
