I think I would mark the biggest, meanest, nastist brushpiles or cover I could find in 15-20 feet of water along main channel drop offs and fish the heck out of them.

I'm heading out to Shoal Bay on Sunday and was wondering if anyone has been out there and what has been working for them. I've never crappie fished there, only bass. I know a few people fish Dardanelle which isn't far. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Thanks CP for the info. I didn't get to go due to family business but will try to make it this weekend. I've read that you fish Dardanelle here recently which is probably pretty similar to Shoal Bay. Do you know of any maps that might show the channel or contour since I don't have a GPS depthfinder? I was hoping to have someone chime in that has been fishing there recently and could tell me where to go to put a few in the livewell. Thanks!!!

across from boat ramp there is a point .about 30 feet from shore there is a nice brush pile in about 15 feet of water also if you can find the sunken islands i usally troll the edges and do well. and if the tree is still sticking up try around it
