LOL!! Yeah! I just put it together to see how it would look! Well i have a plan! Pallets are not going to be near that close together and im only going to do a couple with cedars to see how it works! Im going to tie a cotton string with a soda bottle to center stake when i drop temporarily till all done! Then mark center with GPS and cut bottles off. String will rot but i might find it a few times..........

Looks good hope you are able to get sunk like that mine never seem to end up like I planned but they work any way real tough to transfer plans to actual water coditions.

It may take more than one block to sink them because of the amount of wood involved. Send coordinates by pm when finished! :D:D:D

I would have left two boards on each end on top of pallet for strength and to wedge rocks in . Other wise you may have trouble moving and sinking. Good luck.

yea your probably right nimrod i should nail boards on end for extra support. I do plan on adding more blocks to each. im thinking 2 for each should get it down. thats why i posted the picture because this is my first attempt at building this type so i wanna know what works.

Remember that putting weight too high can throw it off balance and turn them over. Rocks inside each corner keeps more balanced.

Hey there coolerfull, They look good but be prepared for it to take more weight to sink them than you anticipate. NIMROD has probably sank over 300 pallets now and has all the kinks worked out. They will hold a lot of fish though. I've tried it with big rocks but they just rolled out when we pushed them overboard. Concrete blocks stay on and work but they are not as heavy as rocks so it may take more than you think. I sank a normal sized pallet with 25 stakes one time, but it had sat all year in the yard, and was very dry. It took 8 concrete blocks to take it down! I noticed that your pallets don't have a lot of boards on the bottom, that will help with not taking as much weight to sink.
Good luck and thanks for the pics!Thumbs Up

Oh, one more thing that I noticed in your pics is that your pallets have the cut-outs for the forklifts to use. Take a lesson learned the hard way. Position the side with the cut-outs towards the water when loading them on the boat. If not, after you add your weights and try to slide the overboard the cut-outs will hang on the edge of the boat and then it is heck to get them off with all that weight.
Hope this helps and like I said NIMROD is the guy to talk to if you run into any problems or have questions.
Let us know how it goes.
