I found the bigger fish hit on structure after it heats up. Some trolling baits up the river catching some better fish to.

Had two rods with road runners and 2 rods with crank baits on them pushing out the front. 11-12 fow 9 feet down. I was using a norman deep little n and a bomber a both rated at 8-10'.

Nice catch and thanks for sharing the pictures. Congrats. So which caught the most...the cranks or road runners?

Actually it was about even. I give the advantage to the cranks though. For one, when they hit the cranks it was all over for them they were going in the boat, but with the road runners it was about 50/50 on getting them actually in the boat. Also, generally the fish were larger on the cranks did have a few dinks hit it but most were larger. It was kind of weird you would go for a while where the cranks wouldn't do a thing and they were tearing up the road runners then the poles with cranks on them would start bending and the road runners would not do anything at all.
