Good mess there guys!!! Hope we catch em like that in the morning... Me and a buddy are leaving out at 0400 to try and get there before 0600!!! I will give a report tomorrow!!!

Met up with Nimrod yesterday morning at first light, launched and headed for one of his honey holes to catfish. Got there, dropped anchor, baited and threw out and while I was asking a question...WHAM!...about a 3 pound cat tried to take my rod away from me! Well, it was that way for the next two hours! We caught two limits of 2-3 pound to 5-6 pound channels, one right after the other, and threw back several that didn't quite make the team! At 8:15 we quit catfishing and got out the jig poles and moved to some different cover and Nimrod proceeded to school me on the fine art of Lake Nimrod vertical jigging. The man is a fishing machine! Fish were running on the small side but over the next 3-4 hours we (mostly Nimrod) managed 13 keepers and threw many smaller ones back. About 12:30, when the temp reached about 1000 degrees, we decided to call it a day and headed back in. I can tell you, if you ever get a chance to go catfishing with Nimrod, do it!! Nimrod, I enjoyed it brother, and I hope to some day get to go again! Here are some more photos of the trip.
