Default Rainy Moring on Nimrod 7/14/11

Me and and a buddy left out this moring from Lonoke at 0400 and made it to Nimrod at 0545... We were welcomed by a good ole rain shower.. It rained on and off for the first thirty minutes or so then it came a downpour... But guess what............ In the hard rain the crappie started biting like they were going out of style@!!!! We just trolled double jig rigs in 12 to 20 ft of water at 12 to 14 foot of water!! We got wet but it was well worth it!!!!!! White and CHart seemed to be the best!!!!

No problem catching a limit for most trollers right now. Just don't expect to catch a bunch of Slabs. Them hand sized buggers will wear you out unhooking them.

Where you been Fancy Seats? You can catch fish trolling just about anywhere right now. I caught a limit this morning after lots and I do mean lots of culling. I was verticle jiggin though. Watch out for Mr Whiskers, I jigged up a couple big Channel Catfish that gave me and that 12' jig pole a fit.

    Default Newer Boat

    Nimrod,

I have been over there a few times. Saw you once and you didn't recognize me because I am in a different boat.

It's a Dura Craft with a 30 yamaha. No more "fancy seats"

If I can get my trolling motor fixed I'll be over there in the morning.

Sorry I missed the last build. I was out of town. I'llmake the next one.

Hope to see you in the morning.
