Wapanocca crappie

My buddies have been killin the crappie and bream at Wapanocca this week single pollin the grass. One of em caught 25 good crappie before 11 today. The north side early, and in the middle when it gets hot. Grass in both places. Just lettin y'all know. Sorry no pics. ( hope I spelled Wapanocca right ). NO WATER FLEAS. :-)

They reopened it a few years ago. It was closed for quite awhile, but it is so fertile the fishin has taken off. Nice size fish too. That duck crap grows big fish. It's the only place my dad used to fish. I have tons of fond memories there also. My dad pulled a many a bream from that place, and some nice crappie and bass as well. We lived about 5 miles from there when I was growing up. LONG time ago. :-). This lake is just south of Turrell AR. On Hwy 77 in East Central AR. It is a wildlife refuge.
