    Default Trolling Motor Repair

Guys in Jonesboro area; our latest trip to Lake Conway put my dads trolling motor in a bad way. I was at the helm when it happened and I feel bad. Do you guys know of anyone in the Jonesboro area that could straighten the tm shaft?

The TM is operational but the bend in the shaft makes it really hard to turn. It is a foot- controlled, bow-mounted, motorguide, 30lb thrust, model is FOUR; I would say early 90s.

I feel like if it was taken out of the bracket and put in a good vice it could be bent back into place. The bend seems to be about 6 inches from straight right now.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thumbs Up

closest place i know of is at mt. home. you may not be able to straighten the shaft straight enough where you can raise and lower the motor depth wise easy. i don't know the name of the place at mt. home but any boat place up there can tell you. i think he's on mallard pt road. i know it's a road turning to the right before you get to the stoplight.

If you haven't found anyone yet to repair TM shaft you might try Alexander's Machine Shop on Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro. Give Jimmy Alexander a call. PM if you need other info.
