The wife and me were wanting to do some fishing in Arkansas one of those package deals where lodging and boat + motor are part of the price. I would welcome any suggestions you guys might have, looking for a 3-5 trip.

With the heat this time of the year may I suggest fishing one of our big lake tailwater for trout. Easy to catch and always cool.

wading the St.Francis and doodlesocking for bowfin is a good way to spend a sunny afternoon. you don't need a boat and you can sleep in your truck on a walmart parking lot.

Try Jack's Trout Dock at Sylamore. Nice place and reasonably priced. Close to Mt View and Blanchard Caverns. You can check it out online.

Spring River at Mammoth Springs, plenty of lodging by the river, beautiful water falls every mile, full of trout and walleye, smallmouth, dont need a boat cos the entire upper river is made for wadding. Great Fishing and my favorite Trout waters in Arkansas.

I would go crappie fishing with Jerry Blake at Lake Greeson one day for sure.. You could stay at a hotel and then go up to Jacks to do some trout fishing... His link is on his profile, just look at the Fishing Foundation Sticky at the top of the Arkansas Page and you can click on his website link..

If you do go to Jack's Trout Dock at Sylamore, you should go on up to Blanchard Springs Caverns and check out
Mirror Lake. It's not real big, but very beautiful and is stocked with trout and has a fishing pier.
