week of fishing review lake Erling

Had daughter and grand kids for a few days around memorial day They caught quite a few bream and catfish off of the dock also managed to loose two rods and reels and 2 deck chairs off of the dock not sure what happened they were having so much fun they did not mention that the stuff went overboard.I missed the chairs and decided to drag along the dock good thing I did . Managed to catch 20 decent crappie thursday on tops in 14 ft water white silver chartruse meatgetter jigs had great fish fry friday. Friday night went out with nephews to noodle for catfish at 1 am I gave up went to bed buy morning boys had 8 channel cats largest was 14 lbs since they were so tired I got to clean em lots work none of the fun oh well the wind has given us a break finally and I can tell you it is shore nuff hot on the water next week I will probably only fish early in the morning and under the bridges in the shade Buddy (fishing dog) says he is gonna quit if I cant rig up umbrella for him I may have a large rear end but it does not produce enough shade for his naps when the fishing is slow. Lake Erling water level is falling fast we will be praying for rain soon.

Hey, Noslab, I don't know if I just might agree with Buddy about the umbrella. LOL. Sounds like yall had a grand ole time with the grandkids. Its good to know the crappie are still cooperating with you.
