Hey guys, me and a friend tore down my lower unit last night and found that I need a new forward gear, reverse gear, and a clutch dog. I found prices for new and will cost $600 just for parts, ouch. I found some used gears and a new clutch dog for around $300, still ouch, just without the stinging. I was just wondering if anyone on here knew where I might find a good lower unit for parts for this model or if any of ya'll had some parts lying around you could get rid of. Also, does anyone know through what years did Johnson keep this same setup? Also, does long or short shaft make a difference if I just need the gear/clutch dog? Any help is appreciated.
