    Default trolling motor questions

I want a new TM and need some inside info. What is the differance between auto pilot and Ipilot? Do they both have spot lock? do they both use GPS? What is Motorguides equivellant of these minnkota motors? It looks like I pilot has a handheld control, does it still have a foot control?

I-Pilot is the marketing name for the control unit that can be applied to several of MKs Tmotors and all of them have GPS Spot Lock and autopilot. Motorguids at this time has nothing to compete with it.

Auto Pilot will maintain a heading but does not have GPS I-pilot does have GPS and will record a track then follow the same track over and over.
Auto Pilot does not have spot lock I-Pilot does.
If you get the Powerdrive V2 with I-pilot you can't use your foot control (without some after market modification) with a Terrova you can use both the foot and hand control.
