    Default A Fishing Story

Well, this is my first post on crappie.com. I have been waiting on a really good fishing story to share, however, as of now, I'm long on story but short on fish! I have never been a "king fisher" before, still not. But this spring I have gotten hooked on fishing, I have spent a good deal of time on Lake Erling. This weekend, unfortunately, the wind won the fishing tournament but I was not defeated. Spent the entire weekend riding in whitecaps, soaking up sun, reading, realaxing and napping.................but very little catching. I'm not afraid of rough water, I'm just smart enough to know when to be safe. ANYWAY, had a wonderful weekend at Erling. Beautiful weekend, wonderful cabin and great supper. If you haven't made the trip to Lake
Erling and the Bass Haven, I stronly suggest you give it a shot. Rose (the owner) is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and you will NOT come unhappy OR hungry! Even if you don't catch, you will be glad you went!

Wind can make fishing tough. Sorry you didn't sack up on the slabs. Thanks for the heads up on a good place to visit

Welcome to the board I enjoy lake Erling pretty near every day but the wind has been tough this spring but in a couple of weeks we will be hoping for a breeze and buddy (my dog) will be hunting shade under my seat.

Erling is about 8000 acres more if you count bodcau creek.
