    Default A Day On the Lake with CrappieMaster's Pro/Don Blakely/Lake GeorgeTown/5-26-11

Hey guys had the pleaure to fish with CrappieMeasters Tournament Pro Don Blakely. Don invited me down to fish a private Arkansas river oxbow named Lake GeorgeTown near Scott Arkansas. For those of you who may not know Don, he is truely the King of Lake Conway with a 1st and 3rd place Crappiemaster's finish on Lake Conway. As I watched Don fish I quickly realized he is a well oiled fishing machine with two jig poles in his hand. We fought High Winds all day on Georgetown under post front conditions fish were very scattered but were were able to bring several Nice fish to the net and missed several. We used Midsouth tubes in Black/Blue/white n Chart combos and 1/8th oz heads to catch fish out of brush in 4-8 foot of water. LOL I had the pleasure of netting most of them for Don but caught a few nice fish myself. It was a fun day under tough conditions as my TM Battery was drianed down to just 28 percent when I got home. I m looking forward to some More River Oxbow Action in the near future. Thanks Don for a Great day on your Childhood Lake.
