I like to use ones much larger here for Flatheads.Thumbs Up

I do blieve ' Bigger is Better' as far as slicks for flats , but an old longliner once told me " boy i would use a 2 lb crappie fer bait to catch a flathead !!" Of course thats some advice i never acted on !

I usually use blue gills big as I can catch! Had to buy these because haven't had time to fish...

Big Slicks live better than Gills for me on a hook.

How do you specifically catch slicks?

We usually find a ditch where the rice fields are dumping, pinch off little piece of worm, put it on a hook, and let the kids have a ball. Hour later, we got a bucket full, and bait up our lines. Some folks use traps, which work better, cause you can dump your trap, and comeback in a hour, hopefully, its full.
