Default Ozark Rod Company/Crappie Pro Approved/Pounding Them On Lake Dardanelle/5-19-11

Went to Lake Dardanelle yesterday and picked up a Guy on the bank named RTARK. I let him in my boat to make sure the fisrt time I went fishing with him was'nt just Luck.:pWell we fished the morning with not much luck and then he said in his easy going low southern voice "Russ We need to hit this Log I been fishing" I fired up the Lowe and headed that way. No sooner then we pulled up to that Log we started nailing slabs and after that just about anywhere we fished was yielding some slabs. At about 3PM I dropped RTARK off at the boat ramp so he could watch his Grandson play ball and headed back out onto the lake alone. It was hard leaving the ramp when a complete stranger came up to me and RT and invited himself into my boat after seeing our fish. After explaining to the stranger that I was not a guide and really just intended on fishing the rest of the day by myself I headed out. While watching the depth finder I noticed a submerged Hedge row running from about 7 to 12 deep and about 40 yards long. I really got excited when I saw hundreds of little blue dots all around it on my Hummingbird.

SO I yanked out my two New Tony Edgar signature series 11ft Jig rods from The Ozark Rod Co. This was the first time I fished with them and I can honestly tell you they are one light, tough, sensitive rod. This rod has an awsome feel in your hand and a nice full bend in it with backbone to pull up those two pounders out of the brush. The Rod tip is a solid re-inforced Titanium tip designed by our very own Midsouth Man to go down into the brush and punch that jig out without breaking the tip. There is also no inner ceramic guide in the tip to worry about breaking in this rod. Let me tell ya I put this rod to the test all day yesterday fishing and punching jigs out of the brush with some force. So if you're in the market for a New Jigging Pole give this one a look. I promise you it's Crappie Pro approved and I left them Bitting on Dardanlle after filling my limit and catching and releasing I dont know how many big slabs on Dardanelle. RTARK I might just make it a habit of letting you in my boat. :D Thanks
